Acrylic on cotton paper.

This is one of the works that I can never get a good scan of. The colors and darkness of the paint register differently on camera. I think the colors are more distinct in real life. :)

This piece is like something out of a dream. How do you achieve such subtle and soft tones with acrylic? Do you use it like watercolor washes?
